Using a Form in the Form Library

How to use and create a form by using a template.

Updated over a week ago

Whip Around provides a template library of forms that follow DOT and other compliance regulations. These forms can be used as it or edited to fit your needs.

Step 1:

Click on the 'Forms' module from the menu on the left.

Step 2:

Click on 'Template Library' in the top right.

Step 3:

Browse all current forms in our library by most popular, industry, or purpose.

Choose the template you wish to use by selecting 'Use Template'.

Step 4:

Review all cards in the form and choose to edit (pencil icon) or delete (trash can icon) a card in the template.

You can also drag the cards to reorder them. This will determine what order the Driver completes the inspection.

You can add any additional cards to the template as well. To learn more about adding cards from scratch, please refer to this article.

Step 5:

Configure your 'Form Settings'.

Compliance Settings

Choose to require a Driver sign off on the previous inspection report before starting theirs. Choose to require a Mechanic signs off on a Defect before marking as 'corrected'.

Assign Assets

Choose which Assets should have access to this form.

Exception Report

Choose to set up an Exception Report which will email Managers when a Driver fails to complete this Inspection.

You're all set! Drivers with access to the Assets assigned to the Form will be able to log into their mobile app and complete inspections using this form.
